Alleged unlawful rate increases and fuel surcharge fees imposed by Waste Connections on customers.

Waste Connections US Inc. and related entities have agreed to a $1,400,000 class action settlement to resolve allegations that the company imposed rate increases and fuel surcharge fees on customers without a contractual basis. Organizations and entities that received solid waste collection services from any Waste Connections entity between August 13, 2019, and the effective date of the settlement may be eligible to claim a share. The claim deadline is October 22, 2026. Proof of service and authorization is required. Payouts will be distributed on a pro rata basis from the net settlement fund.

You may be eligible if you:

• Organizations and entities that received solid waste collection services from any Waste Connections entity from Aug. 13, 2019, through the effective date of the settlement.
• Examples include: Corporations, Partnerships, Limited liability companies, Nonprofit organizations, Governmental, quasi-governmental and public bodies, Other organizations not...

• Basic contact information
• Dates tied to your purchase or account activity
• Proof of purchase or supporting documents

If you do not have every document, you may still be able to file. Many settlements accept claims without receipts.

• Submit an online claim form or download and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.
• Provide claimant's name and contact information, entity name, and service address.
• Attest under penalty of perjury that the information is true and correct.
• If using the online form, provide the unique ID and PIN received in the settlement notice.
