This class action (Cohen v. Estée Lauder Cosmetics Ltd) concerns two data incidents at Estée Lauder between approximately May 31 and July 12, 2023, which compromised the personal and financial information of Canadian customers. Estée Lauder has agreed to a CAD $1,515,000 settlement to resolve the claims, filed in the Superior Court of Québec (file 500-06-001261-235). The court held a settlement approval hearing on June 3, 2026; the claim submission deadline will be announced on the official settlement website following approval. Eligible class members can claim up to $5,000 for documented losses, or a fixed payment of $150 (one incident) or $300 (both incidents) without proof.
