This settlement resolves claims of false arrest and conditions of confinement for individuals arrested on January 20, 2017, in Washington D.C. during the Trump inauguration protests. Two classes were certified, and eligible members of the False Arrest Class can receive up to $5,000, while payments from the Conditions of Confinement Fund are capped at $680 per person.
