Misleading advertising about brightness, beam width, and lifespan of certain Sylvania premium halogen headlights sold in Canada.
This class action addressed false advertising claims against Sylvania for their SilverStar, SilverStar Ultra, XtraVision, and Cool Blue premium halogen automotive headlights. The headlights were alleged to be no brighter or longer lasting than standard products despite marketing claims. The case has been settled and participation is now closed.
Who qualifies
- Residents of Canada who purchased SilverStar, SilverStar Ultra, XtraVision, or Cool Blue automotive headlights or fog/auxiliary lights.
- Purchases of replacement headlamp capsules, sealed beam headlights, or fog/auxiliary lights under these brands.
