This class action settlement resolves allegations that Suffolk County charged administrative fees that exceeded state law limits for red light camera tickets issued after April 1, 2013. Eligible claimants could receive $36 per ticket, which includes a $30 fee refund and $6 in interest, pending final judicial approval. Suffolk County stopped charging these fees in January 2023 and ended its red light camera program in December 2024. The deadline to submit a claim is December 8, 2026, and the deadline to opt out is November 9, 2026.
