A class action settlement has been reached with SPS Technologies, LLC and its parent company, Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC), concerning a fire at the SPS facility in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, from February 17-22, 2025. The settlement addresses claims that individuals and businesses were impacted, injured, or damaged by the fire, which led to shelter-in-place and evacuation orders. The Gross Settlement Fund is $5,000,000, intended for eligible Settlement Class Members, including payments for documented business losses (up to $5,000), hourly employee lost wages (up to $200), and property damage losses (up to $300), plus residual cash payments. The fund also covers attorneys' fees, costs, and administration expenses. The deadline to submit a Claim Form is December 3, 2026. The deadline to opt-out or object is November 3, 2026. A final approval hearing is scheduled for May 25, 2027.
