A class action settlement has been preliminarily approved in the case of Caccuri, et al. v. Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The lawsuit alleges that Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC violated federal antitrust and state laws by eliminating competition and monopolizing the market for Sony digital games, leading to higher prices for consumers on the PlayStation Store. The settlement fund is $7,850,000. A hearing to approve the settlement is scheduled for October 15, 2026.
