Schenker Inc. agreed to a $1,275,000 class action settlement to resolve claims that it violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and related California laws by obtaining background checks on job applicants and employees without providing proper disclosures or obtaining authorization. Individuals who applied for a job with Schenker between November 20, 2014, and February 28, 2022, and for whom Schenker obtained a background check report for employment purposes, may be eligible for a cash payment. Class members will receive a pro rata share of the net settlement fund. No claim form or documentation is needed to receive compensation, as payments will be mailed to the last known address of qualifying class members.

- Individuals who applied for employment with Schenker Inc. between November 20, 2014, and February 28, 2022.
- For whom Schenker obtained a background check report for employment purposes during that period.
