This settlement resolves claims that Safeway violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) by printing more than the last four digits of customers' credit or debit card numbers on receipts from its gas stations. Eligible consumers who made purchases at Safeway gas stations between September 12, 2017, and February 26, 2019, and received such a receipt may be entitled to an estimated award of $18 to $36.

Who qualifies

  • Consumers who made a purchase using a debit or credit card at any Safeway gas station between Sept. 12, 2017, and Feb. 26, 2019.
  • Consumers who received a receipt showing the first six and last four digits of their card number.
