Progress Residential has agreed to a class action settlement resolving allegations that it improperly assessed and collected eviction attorneys' fees from tenants in Florida before court awards. Tenants who lived in a Florida property managed by Progress Residential and were assessed eviction attorneys' fees between August 27, 2020, and August 26, 2024, may qualify. Eligible class members in the 'Paid class' may receive up to 75% of the fees they paid, while 'Balance class' members may receive 30% of fees paid. 'Attempted collection class' members will receive a release of claims for the assessed fees. No claim form is required, but class members can update their address online or by contacting the settlement administrator.
