Allegations of price-fixing and inflating prices for raw pork products.
Tyson Foods Inc., Clemens Food Group LLC, Hormel Foods Corp., Seaboard Foods LLC, Triumph Foods LLC, and Agri Stats Inc. have agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging they conspired to inflate and stabilize pork prices. The total settlement fund from most defendants is $117.065 million. Consumers who purchased raw pork bacon or other eligible raw pork products for personal consumption between June 28, 2014, and June 30, 2018, in select states or the District of Columbia may be eligible to submit a claim. Agri Stats agreed to nonmonetary reforms only. Previous settlements with JBS and Smithfield for $95 million have closed. Claims for this settlement require an estimate of eligible pork purchased and months of purchase, without initial proof of purchase.
