This class action concerns a recall of Philips CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator devices due to health risks from degrading foam that may cause serious injuries including cancer. A $20 million CAD partial settlement for economic loss claims has been proposed and awaits approval by BC and Quebec courts. The settlement excludes personal injury claims. Eligible Canadians who purchased or used affected devices are included unless they opt out by the deadline.
