Thirty new lawsuits have been filed against OpenAI in U.S. federal court in California by victims and survivors of the Tumbler Ridge school shooting. The plaintiffs, including educators and students, allege that OpenAI's negligence in preventing the Feb. 10 tragedy, where eight people were killed, contributed to the event. The lawsuits claim the shooter planned the attack using ChatGPT and that OpenAI's leadership overruled its safety team's recommendations to notify authorities.
