The settlement addresses allegations of systemic failures in the management and operation of these schools, including inadequate staff training and lack of accountability. Individual compensation ranges from $5,000 to $100,000, with a simplified process for claims. An additional $1,500 is available for counselling costs related to the claims process. The court found the settlement to be fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of class members.
