A federal judge has approved an $11.5 million class action settlement for Mexican engineers who claimed they were recruited under false pretenses to work for Hyundai Mobis, Kia Georgia, SPJ Connect, and Allswell in Georgia. The engineers, who held TN visas, alleged they were promised technical positions but were instead put to work on the factory floor and threatened with deportation if they complained. The settlement covers over 600 workers.
