Kimco Staffing Services Inc. has reached a $1.04 million class action settlement to resolve claims stemming from a data breach on June 24, 2023. The breach exposed personal information including names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, and payment card data of approximately 69,687 individuals. The settlement includes a $640,000 fund for direct payments to class members and $400,000 for business practice enhancements to improve data security. Eligible class members may claim reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses up to $5,000, a $50 cash payment for California residents, a pro rata cash payment from remaining funds, and two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services with $1 million in identity theft insurance.
