The agreement provides for individual compensation to former students for their experiences at the school, with potential amounts of up to $10,000 for less than five years of attendance and up to $15,000 for five or more years. Additionally, Canada will provide $10 million to support healing, wellness, language protection, education, and commemoration for former students and their families. If approved, former students will be able to submit claims.
