B.D. Holt Co., d/b/a Holt Group, agreed to settle a class action lawsuit alleging a targeted cyberattack occurred in December 2024. The complaint claims the company failed to adequately protect personal information, potentially exposing names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account details. Class members are individuals residing in the United States whose private information was potentially accessed or acquired between Dec. 26, 2024, and Dec. 27, 2024, and who received a letter notifying them of the incident. Benefit options include two free years of three-bureau credit monitoring with $1 million in fraud protection, documented losses up to $5,000, up to $80 for time spent addressing issues, or an alternate $50 cash payment.
