Allegations of price-fixing on forged aluminum and steel auto parts sold in Canada.
Two class actions in British Columbia allege that manufacturers, including Hirschvogel, conspired to fix prices of forged aluminum and steel products used in vehicles and replacement parts sold in Canada between 2002 and 2018. Hirschvogel has agreed to a $2.5 million settlement, subject to court approval. The settlement does not include an admission of wrongdoing. Funds will be held in trust until the actions conclude against the remaining defendants. Class members can opt out or file objections until December 15, 2026.
Who qualifies
- Individuals who purchased vehicles or replacement parts containing forged aluminum between April 1, 2006 and April 31, 2018.
- Individuals who purchased forged steel products between October 1, 2002 and December 31, 2016.
