Compensation for Louisiana GoAuto Insurance customers with total-loss claims where sales tax and transfer fees were allegedly unpaid.

This settlement resolves claims that GoAuto Insurance failed to pay sales tax and transfer fees on total-loss claims for Louisiana policyholders with comprehensive or collision coverage. Eligible claimants submitted a total-loss claim resulting in payment and did not keep the salvage vehicle.

• Louisiana residents insured under a GoAuto motor vehicle policy with comprehensive and/or collision coverage.
• Submitted a first-party physical damage claim adjusted as a total loss between May 16, 2012 and May 13, 2024.
• Did not retain the salvage vehicle.
