Elmpark Manor Apartments and Ronkay Management Inc. have agreed to settle a certified class action lawsuit concerning a fire at 235 Gosford Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario, on November 15, 2019. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice has approved the settlement. Residents and visitors at the premises at the time of the fire may be eligible for compensation. Residents and tenants can receive up to $1,119.63, while visitors can receive up to $25. Any remaining funds after payments to class members may be increased proportionally for residents and tenants, up to a maximum of $5,000 each, or donated to Pro Bono Ontario. Claims must be submitted by September 16, 2026.

You may be eligible if you:

• All persons in Canada who on November 15, 2019, regularly resided in and/or were visiting 235 Gosford Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario.
• Specific sub-classes include tenants (with or without temporary accommodations, and whether they returned or not) and residents.

• Basic contact information
• Dates tied to your purchase or account activity
• Proof of purchase or supporting documents

If you do not have every document, you may still be able to file. Many settlements accept claims without receipts.
