Electronics for Imaging Inc. (EFI) has agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims stemming from a data breach that occurred in September 2024. The breach allegedly exposed the personal information of approximately 5,528 individuals, potentially including names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, photo identification, driver’s licenses, and Social Security numbers. Class members residing in the United States who received notice of the incident may be eligible for various benefits, including up to $300 for documented ordinary out-of-pocket losses, up to $5,000 for documented extraordinary out-of-pocket losses due to identity theft or fraud, up to $100 for lost time responding to the breach, or an alternative cash payment of an estimated $75.
