About this settlement

Alleged failure by Concord Management, Watervue Partners, and River Ridge Apartments to comply with Florida law regarding security deposit notices and fees.

Concord Management, Watervue Partners LLC, and River Ridge Apartments have agreed to a $1.85 million class action settlement to resolve allegations that they failed to send security deposit notices in the form required by Florida law, and violated other provisions of Florida's landlord-tenant and consumer collection laws. Residential tenants in Florida who had security deposits withheld or were charged certain fees between April 3, 2021, and April 3, 2025, may be eligible for a cash payment. In addition to cash payments, the settlement includes the discharge of over $15,985,000 in claimed unpaid lease balances and a permanent injunction against noncompliant practices and negative credit reporting. Class members do not need to file a claim form; checks will be mailed automatically. Those who have moved should update their address.
