The City of Springfield agreed to pay up to $825,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Massachusetts Wage Act. Class members are individuals who worked as student police officers employed by the City of Springfield between March 24, 2022, and May 10, 2026. The settlement administrator will distribute the net settlement fund on a pro rata basis. Eligible class members do not need to file a claim or submit documentation to receive payment, as the administrator used payroll records to identify class members and their estimated payment amount.
