Central Maine Healthcare and Central Maine Medical Center have agreed to a $1,368,025 class action settlement to resolve claims that a data breach between March 19, 2025, and June 1, 2025, compromised private information. Individuals in the United States who received notice of the breach may be eligible to claim up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket expenses (such as credit monitoring or professional fees) or an alternate cash payment of an estimated $50. All class members can also claim one year of free medical records monitoring. To file a claim, individuals can use the online claim form or mail a completed PDF claim form. Documentation is required for claims of documented losses, while attestation of eligibility is needed for the alternate cash payment. The claim deadline is September 28, 2026.
