Capital One customers who held a 360 Savings account between September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025, may be eligible for a payout from a $425 million class-action settlement.
Allegations that Capital One failed to offer competitive interest rates on its 360 Savings accounts compared to its 360 Performance Savings accounts.
A $425 million class-action settlement has been approved against Capital One, resolving allegations that the bank failed to raise interest rates on its 360 Savings accounts in line with its newer 360 Performance Savings accounts after the latter launched in 2019. The lawsuit also claimed the bank marketed the older accounts as high-yield without disclosing the existence of a higher-interest account. Anyone who held a Capital One 360 Savings account between September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025, is eligible for payouts. Eligible customers were not required to file a claim but had to choose a payment method by March 30, 2026. Payments will vary based on factors including account balances, how long the account was held, and the number of eligible customers sharing the settlement fund. Payments are expected to be issued around July 21, 2026.
