About this settlement

Allegations that Bright Lending issued loans with interest rates exceeding state and federal limits.

Aaniiih Nakoda Finance LLC, d/b/a Bright Lending, has agreed to a $15 million class action settlement to resolve allegations that it issued loans with interest rates exceeding state and federal limits, violating consumer protection laws. The settlement offers two types of relief: monetary relief for borrowers who fully paid back at least one loan, and debt relief for borrowers with outstanding loan balances. Bright Lending will also request the deletion of negative credit entries related to class period loans and will cease collection activities on covered loans. While no claim form is required for most class members, they must update their address or elect an electronic payment method by December 21, 2026, if they wish to do so.
