Alleged misrepresentation of short-term medical insurance plans as comprehensive.

This class action settlement resolves claims that Benefytt and Assurance IQ misrepresented their limited benefit indemnity and short-term medical plans as comprehensive. Eligible individuals who purchased these plans between May 5, 2016, and Dec. 1, 2023, and paid unrefunded fees or premiums may be eligible for a settlement award.

• Individuals who purchased limited benefit indemnity plans and/or short-term medical plans from Benefytt or through American National, Assurance, or Priority Insurance.
• Purchases made between May 5, 2016, and Dec. 1, 2023.
• Individuals who paid fees and/or premiums that were not completely refunded or recovered through a chargeback.
• Members of the Medical Expense Subclass who incurred uncovered medical expenses.
