Alleged bleeding-related injuries from the use of the prescription drug Xarelto® marketed by Bayer Inc. in Canada.

The class action Tluchak (Estate) v Bayer Inc. alleges that Canadian residents outside Québec who used Xarelto® experienced bleeding-related injuries. Bayer denies the allegations. A Canada-wide settlement has been reached to resolve the Saskatchewan and Québec class actions, pending court approval. The settlement fund will compensate eligible claimants, specified family members, and governments for healthcare costs. A court hearing to approve the settlement is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
