Autobell Car Wash data breach affecting personal and employee information in April 2024.

Autobell Car Wash LLC has agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims stemming from a data breach that occurred between April 1 and April 7, 2024. The lawsuit alleged that Autobell failed to adequately protect personal and sensitive information, including names and Social Security numbers, of approximately 52,714 individuals. Class members who received a notice from Autobell about the breach may be eligible for compensation. Benefit options include up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses traceable to the breach, up to four hours of compensation at $25 per hour for time spent dealing with the breach (maximum $100, included in the $5,000 cap), or an alternative cash payment of $45 if no other claims are made. All class members are also eligible for two years of real-time three-bureau credit monitoring services. The claim deadline is November 12, 2026.
