The settlement compensates Arizona property owners who had structural loss claims where nonmaterial depreciation was withheld or caused losses to fall below deductibles.

This class action settlement addresses claims that American Family Insurance improperly withheld nonmaterial depreciation from actual cash value payments on certain Arizona property insurance claims made between June 2018 and November 2022.

• Individuals with property insurance policies issued by American Family in Arizona from June 24, 2018 to Nov. 4, 2022.
• Those who made a structural loss claim under Coverage A or B with an Xactimate estimate used.
• Claimants who received an ACV payment with nonmaterial depreciation withheld or would have but for deductible issues.
