Settlement for job applicants who had background checks done by Baptist Memorial Health Care and may not have received proper disclosures or notices.

This settlement resolves claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act involving background reports procured by Baptist Memorial Health Care for job applicants between June 2019 and August 2022. Eligible class members may receive $500 each.

• Individuals who applied for a job at Baptist Memorial Health Care between June 7, 2019 and August 8, 2022.
• Applicants who had a background report procured for them during that period.
• Pre-adverse action subclass: Applicants not hired and marked as 'failed background report', 'null', or 'other' without confirmed pre-adverse action notice.
