A class action lawsuit was filed against 23andMe after a data breach exposed sensitive personal information of nearly 6.9 million users. The settlement of approximately C$4.5 million covers affected Canadian customers who used the service between May 1 and October 1, 2023. Eligible claimants can receive compensation for documented out-of-pocket expenses or a pro-rated share without documentation. Claims must be submitted by June 25, 2026.
