Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Bentley
Settlement for owners and lessees of certain 2013-2017 gasoline Audi, Bentley, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles with overstated fuel economy due to transmission software.
About this settlement
The settlement compensates owners and lessees of certain Audi, Bentley, Porsche, and Volkswagen gasoline vehicles affected by software that caused inflated fuel economy ratings.
This class action settlement addresses allegations that certain 2013-2017 gasoline-powered Audi, Bentley, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles sold or leased in Canada were equipped with transmission software that inflated fuel economy and greenhouse gas emission ratings. Eligible class members may receive compensation for additional fuel costs incurred due to these overstated ratings. The settlement fund totals $4,950,000, which will be distributed proportionally among claimants after legal fees and costs. The claim period is closed as of December 4, 2020.
