This class action addresses losses suffered by residents, businesses, and others affected by the Maui wildfires, including property damage, physical injury, economic losses, and death.

This settlement resolves claims that Hawaiian Electric bears some responsibility for the devastating August 2023 Maui wildfires that destroyed multiple towns and caused widespread damage and losses.

• Those who owned, rented, or resided on property within or near the fire perimeters on August 8, 2023.
• Individuals who worked for or operated businesses within or near the fire perimeters between August 8 and October 8, 2023.
• People present within or near the fire perimeters during the fire dates.
• Persons physically injured or relatives of those injured or deceased due to the fires.
• Travelers with non-refunded trip cancellations or delays to Maui during the relevant period.
