This settlement resolves allegations that BYU Broadcasting violated the Video Privacy Protection Act by sharing subscriber data with Meta without consent. Eligible class members who had a Facebook account and BYUtv account and viewed videos on byutv.org during the specified period may file claims.
Who qualifies
- Individuals with a Facebook account and a registered BYUtv account.
- Viewed one or more videos on byutv.org between Nov. 12, 2022 and May 9, 2025.
